The lululemon performance apparel company, well-known for its soft leggings as well as We Made Too many offerings, has expanded its reach.
Today, March 22nd, lululemon introduces their first-ever footwear collection in stores – and it is made for women.
Sun Choe, lululemon’s Chief Product Officer, stated in a press release that “We deliberately started with women first” because performance shoes are often designed for men, and then adapted to women. “This didn’t go well with us.”
Choe is correct. Women’s athletic shoes are often made for men and then reduced for women. This doesn’t always work because women have different foot shapes than men.
lululemon wanted to change that narrative. They applied their 20-plus years of experience in performance apparel design to their new footwear line. Women can now enjoy top-quality athletic running shoes with a variety of upper materials, foam compounds and colors.
The brand will release four styles of shoes in 2022, including the Charge Feel (Resistfeel), Strong Feel and the lululemon Bliss Feel sneaker. However, customers can purchase the lululemon Bliss Feel sneaker at lululemon.com or select stores throughout North America, Mainland China, and the United Kingdom.

The Blissful running shoes were created from scratch. They are based on more than one million feet of scans and have been refined through numerous rounds of wear-testing.
Wearers can expect an upper that supports movement and an energy-filled underfoot foam with cushion technology. There are also 10 different color options.
lululemon plans to launch a men’s shoe line in 2023 using the same insight-driven approach and intention. According to the athletic brand, “When you feel your best you perform your best”.
